Edit Workshop Evaluation

- How did you use 180 degree rule, rule of thirds & match on action?
In the process of making the film, we had to make a verity of shots such as the 180 degree rule, rule of thirds and match on action. it was difficult for me to get some of the shots because its new to me but at the and of the day i learnt how to make the shot. to make the 180 degree rule, the camera had to be over my shoulder and on The other shot, the camera had to be on the same side of the other person shoulder, the camera should not pass the line. the rule of thirds is a camera technique that can be used with taking a picture and also filming. it is where you line up the landscape to the grid on the camera, if you want to take a picture or film the sky, the the land/sea has to be on the bottom third of the screen, but if you want to take a picture of the land, the sky has to be on the top third of the screen.Match on action is an editing technique, for example, the first shot is of someone outside a room and the character is opening the door to go in the room, then the next shot is from inside the room of the character walking into the room.

- what challenges did you face during production? what would you change if you were to film again?
there were a variety of challenges that i had to face, one of the main one was when my group and i had to film certain scenarios of the film, but we were wearing different clothes. if i would change something if i were to film again, i would film more shots and without mistakes such as the 180 degree rule.

- what challenges did you face during post-production? what would you change if you were to edit again?
The hardest challenge that i had to face was during editing, i realised that i didn't have enough shots and it was hard to do some edits such as shot, reverse, shot. if i would change something if i edit, i would as in more shots and make the film run more smooth.

- What are the overall strengths of your work? why?
the strengths of the work was that, the film worked well without any faults. i thought that the planning helped a lot because it helped us on knowing what to do, where to be, what the camera position and even type of shot. The editing made the film a lot more stronger because put in all the shots together and added some good effects to the film.

- What are the overall weakness of your work? why?
i think that the weakness would be that the film was too silence and it didn't have enough dialogues because most of the time, there was silence. Also, parts of the film, the camera was not placed well and that made the film lose a bit of points.

-what overall improvements would you make to your work? why?

if i were to improve the work, i would add in more dialogues in the film so that the film wouldn't be s quiet and there would be a lot happening as well.
