Evaluation of CVS promotional video

1. what were you asked to do?
we were asked to make a promotional video about RDWWA (Redbridge disabled women's welfare association). we had interview them and ask what was their charity was about and what they do. we asked them questions such as what they do in the organization, why they started the organization and what is the organization know as.

2. who/what were you making a video about?
we were making the video about a charity called RDWWA and interview them so we would know what they do and the charity is about. the charity is about Asian women that are

3. what was the purpose of the video?
the purpose of this video is to show people what the charity is about and what they do. the purpose of the video is also to spread it so that more people will know the charity is and could help because i didn't know about the charity until we was given the work to do but now i know what the charity is about any what they do and now i could help spread it to other people.

4.at did you do in each production stage?
pre production -   in pre production, we had to resurch on the charity and okow what it is about so when we go film, we would know what to ask. we also had to plan what kind of camera shots we would have to get.
production - in the production stage, we had to go to their house and interview them. we had to ask questions on what they do and what the charity is about. i had to film it and it was easy at times because i just had to focus on them but then i thought of getting more shots because it would be helpful in editing.
post production - in post production, we had to edit and put the shots together. i thought that it was kind of hard and long because they went off topic when we asked the questions but it helped us to get more questions. we also had to look for a song to put in the background for a good effect.

5. at problems did you encounter and how did you solve them?
there was some problems that we encounter which was getting the camera shots such as close ups and mid shots because they were moving so it was hard getting the right shot. the other problem we had was in editing because when we asked a question to them, they would answer it but then go off topic and we lots of shots that we didn't need but we was able to sort it out in the end.

6. what were your strength and weaknesses in each stage?
i thought that out strengths was working as a group and fixing problems that we had together. we also planned what we was going to do which was helpful because when we was filming, we would know what to ask and film. my weakness was editing because there was many shots and i didn't know in what order we had to do it and it was hard to find out the right information to add in the video.

Getting more out of your camera

Exposure

on this picture, i tested the exposure of te camera and to do that, i set the camera to have the less and limited brighness that the camera had and it made the photo lose a bit of colour but it made the colours more stong.
on this shot, i set the exposure to the middle and it was a notmal but same shot of the flower. the coulours from the picture is what it is like in real life and and how it would look like. if i was to improve to the picture, i would focus more on the flower
this photo was of the same flower but with high exposure and it made the the photo look bright and there was a lot of white on the flower and i could see most of the details that the photo would have.

Flash
i had to test the flash and the effect that the flash would make to the photo on a shiny surface. on the photo, you could see the flash inflecting out of the glass and it didn't make a good effect because the was a bright white circle in the middle of the glass

this was the same photo but without the flash, it seemed to be more detailed without the flash and there because there was no reflection of the flash on the glass. after this i thought that using the exposure is more useful and is better to use then the flash

Red eye
i tried to do the red eye by taking a photo of my friend's eye by using the flash but it did not work out because of the camera but even with the flash on, the flash took out some details of the eye.
this is the same eye but without the flash and there there was more details and it looked more clear without the flash.

White balance
this was a photo i took of the sky with cloud mode and the photo came out alright because the sky and clouds looks good and was focused but the photo was a bit dark and looks gloomy.

this was another picture i took of the same scene but i set the camera to sun mode and it made the photo brighter and better. the white balance removed realistic and colours and added an effect to the photo to make it look as if it was sunny.

this is another photo i took of the same scene but i set the white balance to bulb mode which made a huge effect to the photo and it added blue to the photo and that makes the photo look cold and adds a winter kind of sense to the photo.

ISO (sensitivity)
here, i took a photo in a dark room with low ISO and the room looks dark and you could barley see anything that is in the room. i set the ISO to 100 which is the lowest and that is meant to be used when there is a lot of light.

this is a photo of the same room but with the ISO set to 800 and you cal already see that there is a huge difference. here you can you can see the whole room and everything that is in it unlike the first photo. with a higher ISO it lets you see whats in a dark room and it makes a better effect then what a flash would do.
i took a photo of the school with a ISO of 800 which is the highest and the photo dos not appear to have much details in it and with the high ISO, the photo came out blurry.

this is a photo of the same place but with an ISO of 100 and straight away i saw that this photo was more focused and detailed then the last one and this photo appeared to be more clear.

AF mode
AF mode stands for Auto Focus mode and for this, i took close ups of  my phone but i did not see any difference in the photos because it focused on the same object so i saw no difference in the photos.

Burst mode
burst mode is when the camera takes photo of an action or a person/object moving in a fast rate. what i did was i took photos of my friend running and jumping over a bench and the camera captured every second of it from when he was running from the start to when he jumped over the bench in the end and this effect is useful when you are taking pictures of a race or a party or other occasions

Culture Day

this was when my group went to the London dungeon be arrived too early so then went down the London bridge road and i saw this building and you could see the view behind it and i thought that it was unique. there was also mirrors on the wall and it made the photo look alto better because you can see the the view opposite.
the train came and i thought that this of taking a shot like this because from the right, the train is large but then as you go down, the train gets smaller.
this was a quick rule of thirds shot that i took when the door of the train opened.
a train was slowing down and i quickly took a picture because i thought it would be a good effect when you see objects staying still and something behind it moving and you'll get a blurry background that makes this kind of spectacular
this photo was taken in the train and i thought it would be a good idea to take a picture in the middle of the train.
what makes this photo unique is that the building is tall enough to reach the clouds and this is a low shot of the building
what i like about this photo is that on the pathway, there are lights under the it and the lights makes this photo look good.
this is like a rule of three but with building and it shows a small skyline of the buildings.
i thought that taking a photo of the bride like this would make a good effect because it seems as if the bridge is coming out of the photo
this was a high contrast photo and it made a great effect to the photo and the low shot also made the picture look good.
this was a high exposure shot that i took of a car and it added brightness to the car.
this was a low shot that i took of a church and it looked really good and the low show made the shot better because its as if you are looking up to the church
i thought that this picture seemed to be like a symmetry shot because the building reflects off the water
this was a shot i took outside of Tate Modern and there was a line of trees and i thought that it would be a good idea to take a picture to make a line so that the photo would look something like a Forrest
this was a low shot that i took of the Tate Modern building and it i changed the ISO to 100 to see what kind of effect it would add to the photo
this photo was inside of Tate modern and i saw a hall and it looked like they were the same so it was like the symmetry rule.
this was a long shot that i took on the bridge and it looked pretty cool because the people was far and i got most of the bridge in the photo as well as the buildings on the background

this was a panorama shot that i took and it turned out to work pretty great because i got the whole view and all i wanted to get
this is a black and white shot that i took of the bridge and it made a great effect to the photo.
this is a long shot that i took of the bridge and with the rule of three
i thought that taking a photo of people close to the camera and having the Tate Modern building on the back would be a good effect

this is a long shot that i have taken of a boat that passed under the bridge.
this is a close up that i took of a Halloween pumpkin and the light inside of it made a good effect because all you can see is the eyes, noes and mouth of the pumpkin and the rest is black
this is a portrait  shot that I've taken taken of a ship and i was able to get most of the ship in this photo
i took a shot of my group walking so i just got their legs and the ground and i did this because the water on the ground reflected some bits and it made a good effect.
